This is an economic development resource. Its purpose is to give a business owner, developer, or site selector one place to find the numbers, the properties, and the people in Calhoun County, Florida.

It is information, not an offer. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer to sell or lease property, an offer of employment, an award of any incentive, a commitment of public funds, or a contract of any kind. No agreement is formed by reading this site or by sending us an inquiry through it.

We work hard to get the facts right and we cite sources where we have them. Even so, the statistics, maps, tax figures, wage data, demographic profiles, and utility and logistics details on this site come from public agencies, partner organizations, and third parties, and they describe conditions as of the date they were gathered. Rates change. Programs get funded and defunded. Census estimates get revised.

So: this site is provided for general informational purposes, and we make no warranty that any particular figure is current, complete, or accurate for your situation. Verify anything you intend to rely on with the issuing authority before you act on it. We will help you do that — reaching the right person quickly is most of what we do.

The incentive programs described on this site are administered by other bodies — FloridaCommerce, the Board of County Commissioners, the City of Blountstown, the Industrial Development Authority, taxing authorities, and utility providers among them. Each has its own statutory criteria, application process, funding limits, and approval discretion.

Describing a program here is not a determination that your project qualifies, an estimate of what you would receive, or a promise from anyone that it will be approved. Eligibility is decided by the administering body, in writing, through its own process. Talk to us early and we will tell you honestly what we think your odds are, but only the awarding body can commit.

Buildings and land shown on this site are listed with information supplied by owners, brokers, and public sources. We do not own them, we do not represent the buyers or sellers, and no brokerage relationship is created by anything on this site. We are not a licensed real estate broker and nothing here should be treated as brokerage services.

Prices, acreage, square footage, zoning, utility availability, year built, and availability itself may be inaccurate or out of date, and a property may already be sold, leased, or under contract. Confirm every detail with the owner or listing agent, and do your own due diligence — survey, title, environmental, and zoning — before you commit to anything.

Nothing on this site is legal, tax, accounting, engineering, real estate, or investment advice. Tax sections in particular describe the general structure of Florida and Calhoun County taxation, not your liability. Hire your own advisors.

Do not send confidential, proprietary, or trade-secret information through the contact form or by unencrypted email. Site selection is often confidential and a web form is not a secure channel. Call us and we will arrange something appropriate.

By sending us an inquiry you confirm the information in it is accurate and that you are entitled to share it, and you allow us to use it to respond to you and to route your request to the partner best able to help. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy — including what happens to a record once we pass it to a public agency, which is worth reading before you send us anything about a confidential project.

The Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce is a private nonprofit organization. It is not a unit of local government, and nothing on this site is an official act, statement, or commitment of Calhoun County, the City of Blountstown, the Industrial Development Authority, or any state agency. Nothing here waives, limits, or extends the sovereign immunity of any public body, and nothing here binds one to anything.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of this site will be brought in the state courts located in Calhoun County, Florida, and you consent to that venue.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
